RANDOLPH & HIS DURIAN PARTY

Walla, Randolph threw a durian party last Saturday, at our home. The Ng's, Chin's and Wong's were invited and true to Randolph's generous nature, all our children were included too.

Poor Randolph was a little stressed prior to the party cas his usual supplier was unable to produce the quality Randolph expects. Never one to give up, he sourced around and came up with good durians just the same. Joanne, Randolph thank you for adding to the memories.

Most of all I liked what Randolph said - "We must include the children sometimes, cas who knows, this might encourage them to continue with our Makan Gang legacy".

We had a potent combination - Empty stomachs fed with Durians, red and white wine and Karaoke!

So so sorry Chantelle, Chanelle and Adrian. Sorry lah, too busy and distracted leh. Hey, wanna thank everyone for being so relaxed and sporting about the whole set up. Thanks friends.

After the adults left, the real action began...... ending only at 2.15am

TROPICANA LADIES CELL

Today is a day of mixed feelings.

Have made a firm decision to convert Tropicana Ladies Cell (TLC) to a night family cell and hence hand over leadership to dear Rodney.

I know Rodney will have a pastor's heart over his cell members for I have seen how responsible and passionate he is on matters of God. He has always wanted to serve in this area but I have been reluctant for various reasons. I can tell you my husband was so happy today. I have always believed passion is what makes the difference between mediocrity and excellence.

I do have my reservations as to how it might affect our relationship but in this area, I will endeavour to give my best. My strength is in the Lord. Thou submission is still not my strongest point, I have made progress from a year ago and I believe God will now do the refining work. I trust Him and thou I am anxious, I am not afraid. I do however worry about giving our children only our leftover time and energy. That cannot be right. My little ones, if you read this someday, remember, we serve the Lord because he has given us much. I pray, He who is faithful, will guide us to be wise and good parents to all three of you.

I am so gonna miss the tropicana ladies. I pray each one of you ladies will grow from strength to strength and that every word God has deposited in your hearts will take root. Thank you so much dears for the support and commitment you have each given to the cell. It was a pleasure being a member of such a fine and fun group of ladies. Most of all, thank you Lee Choo, for believing in everyone of us - for the time and love you have committed to us. I especially wanna thank every core member - Amy, Jacqueline, Aey, Michelle and Pammy for having helped us along the journey. God Bless You.

I am however struggling to understand this emotion I am overwhelmed with. I always imagined I would be jumping for joy and relieve at not being a cell leader. Why then are tears flowing freely now?

Well, it's a new journey from here, I look forward to where God will lead us.

ADRIAN AND HIS NEW CAMERA

Rachael gave Adrian his first ever camera. It was given to her by Jenny Tan years ago. A 2.1megapixel Kodak. Hey, we are all most impressed at how quickly he learnt to use it and being the biased Mom, I must say, he took many great shots. Er, actually, his shots were better than mine. He was most excited as it came in handy for our family holiday. Here are some of the pics Adrian took.

Well, he's determined.

Adrian, Mummy is proud of you!

Well, he doesnt just take pictures, he loves to pose for the camera too.

Aiks, jumps like this, ok?

This here is a shot of you trying to do the jumping jack for your Kah-Jeh

Is this high enough Kah-Jeh?

Your Kah-Jeh, tired out aft all that coaching

HILL TOP BUNGALOW, CAMERON HIGHLANDS 2007.2007 PART II

Warning! If you are a visitor, my apologies. This particular posts is all abt our holiday photos. Suggest you skip it. Sorry.....

This family holiday was special cas of the bonding. I just marvelled at how quickly Vanessa was attached to her God-Mum. Maysie, thank you for putting in the effort. I also enjoyed watching Rach and Adrian having fun together. Well, initially Rach was quiet bored but being her usual sweet self she quickly adapted.

Well, since a picture paints a thousand words.......

Tony, Kelly, Chantelle and Chanelle came to visit us for tea and i felt like the mistress of the bungalow entertaining my guests. Ha Ha.. joke, joke. The NG's then went for 2 rounds of golf with them.

Lovely.

      THROUGH THE YEARS (Kenny Rogers)

      I can't remember when you weren't there,
When I didn't care for anyone but you,
I swear we've been thru everything there is,
      Can't imagine anything we've missed,
Can't imagine anything the two of us can't do.

Through the years, You've never let me down, You turned my life around, The sweetest days I've found, I've found with you,
Through the years, I've never been afraid, I've loved the life we've made, And I'm so glad I've stayed, Right here with you,
      Through the years.

I can't remember what I used to do,
Who I trusted whom, I listened to before,
I swear you've taught me everything I know,
      Can't imagine needing someone so,
But through the years it seems to me,
I need you more and more.

Through the years, Through all the good and bad, I know how much we had, I've always been so glad to be with you,
Through the years, It's better everyday, You've kissed my tears away, As long as it's okay, I'll stay with you,
      Through the years.

      Through the years,
When everything went wrong, Together we were strong, I know that I belong, Right here with you,
Through the years, I never had a doubt, We'd always work things out, I've learned what life's about, By loving you, Through the years.

Through the years, You've never let me down, You've turned my life around, The sweetest days I've found, I've found with you,
Through the years, It's better everyday, You've kissed my tears away, As long as it's okay, I'll stay with you,
      Through the years.
